Africa’s strongest real assets are under-served by capital that prices the country before it prices the asset.

Local balance sheets are short. International lenders price the flag, not the cash flows. Good assets stall for want of preparation, structure and the right counterparty.

LakeStream closes that distance. We structure the asset for institutional capital, and we take it to the people to fund it.

What we do

Four things, done properly.

  1. Debt raising and wholesale funding

Senior, mezzanine and wholesale facilities from development finance institutions, commercial banks and private credit. For asset owners, and for lenders building specialist lending platforms.

  2. Restructuring and lender negotiation

Standstills, extensions, refinancings and covenant resets, negotiated with single lenders and across syndicates, with the borrower’s case prepared to lender standard.

  3. Structured real-estate finance

Acquisition finance, sale-and-leaseback, development bridge and income-backed structures, sized from cash flows and secured on the asset.

  4. Asset preparation and capital placement

Investment memoranda, financial models, data rooms and transaction structure, then placement with institutional investors, family offices and development finance institutions, including capital from the Gulf.

How we work

From cash flows to close.

  1. Diagnose

We start with the cash flows, the security and the counterparties, and say plainly what the asset can carry.

  2. Structure

We shape the facility or the transaction to the asset: tenor, leverage, currency, security, exit.

  3. Prepare

We build what institutions expect to see: memorandum, model, data room, term sheet.

  4. Execute

We run the process to close: counterparties, negotiation, documentation, conditions precedent.
